'How I Met Your Mother' Spin-Off Dishes Details on New Gang

Haaaave you met Sally?

Just kidding! Of course you haven't. Up until now, CBS has kept a majority of the details concerning 'How I Met Your Dad' under lock and key...until now that is!

According to TVLine, casting for the 'How I Met Your Mother' spin-off is now officially underway, which means a bunch of character descriptions are starting to come out of the woodwork, including the series' main star, a twentysomething named Sally. (The new Ted, if you will.)

So exactly what traits will the new gang include? A player, perhaps? How about a Canadian, eh? An architect? Read on for a complete breakdown of the new crew below and see whether or not you think they'll be legen — WAIT FOR IT — oh wait...wrong show. As you were.

Sally: She’s vibrant, messy and unpredictable — a “female Peter Pan who has never grown up and has no idea of where she’s going in life.” She’s also thinking about calling it quits with her husband of a year, Gavin, and will lean on her circle of friends for advice and support throughout the inevitable divorce.

Juliet: Sally’s "sexy, flamboyant, energetic, party-girl BFF." She runs a successful fashion blog and is delighted to learn Sally is ending things with the "terminally boring" Gavin.

Danny: Sally’s "older gay brother, a Type A, overachieving lawyer whom she shares little in common with." They still manage to share a tight bond regardless, though Sally’s decision to move in with Danny after her split with Gavin will promise to test that theory. Danny is also married to another member of the group's inner circle: Todd.

Todd: Danny’s "warm, outgoing husband and one of Sally’s closest friends from college." But unlike Danny, Todd welcomes Sally into their home.

Frank: The head of IT for Juliet’s fashion blog. He’s considered a "hot nerd," who has genuine feelings for Sally, even though it appears to be a one-sided flirtation. At least for now.

Narrator: It’s Sally from the future. She’s reliving the events of her past to her kids. (You guys know the drill by now.)
